Nude & Figure Paintings

The human form is the starting point for Paul Ygartua’s nude and figure paintings. His stylised interpretations of the female figure move between recognisable forms and abstraction, exploring how the body can shape a composition.

This collection includes reclining figures and other figurative subjects, with approaches ranging from Cubism to abstract expressionism. Browse the paintings to see how changes in form, colour and style create different readings of the figure.
