Modern Abstract Paintings

Paul Ygartua’s modern abstract paintings place colour, movement and emotion at the centre of the work. Freed from the need to describe a particular subject, each composition develops through the interaction of painted marks and the artist’s response to them.

His approach draws on experience across different styles, bringing those techniques together in spontaneous brush and palette work. The collection shows abstraction as an ongoing exploration of freedom, rhythm and visual impact, and also includes works from his Photonic collection.

With feeling and passionate emotion, allowing your hand to move faster than your mind—keeping a clarity, a free flow that is essential for any large abstract with impact.
